Emily Swenson

Designer

Emily is a Graphic Designer at WANT who specializes in branding and creative direction. She develops design strategies and collateral for the creative teams and offers additional support in Brand Creation, Naming, and Strategy.

Prior to joining WANT, she served as a Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Gelée Magazine, a student-led creative collective that focused on promoting and celebrating young artists within Gainesville, Florida. Throughout her time with Gelée, she directed a team of over 50 creatives and led the visual direction of all digital and print campaigns. Through her dedication and vision, she not only elevated the profiles of countless young artists but also left an indelible mark on the artistic scene of the region.

She also recently served as a Graphic Designer at the University of Florida’s Innovation Academy, a program that supports academically talented students focused on advancing knowledge to grow ideas and cutting-edge services/products. There, she helped develop IA’s brand identity and designed various marketing materials that effectively communicated the program’s mission and values to a wider audience.

Emily is a native Floridian who is currently based in Chicago. When she’s not designing, you can find her exploring her environment with her film camera, listening to her newest record, or spending time with the people she loves the most.

She is a proud alumna of the University of Florida, having graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Go Gators!
