Applebee’s is thriving at a level not seen in years
Applebee’s, the casual dining restaurant chain, has announced that same-store sales grew 6.2 percent in compared to 2019, the best performance since joining dine brands in 2007. Part of this growth can be attributed to virtual concept Cosmic Wings (branded by WANT). Cosmic Wings’ successes lies in its appeal to its Gen Z and millennial audiences, which makes up about 52 percent of the customer base. Cosmic Wings is available om Uber Eats and DoorDash. In April, the virtual digital brand will also be available on Grubhub.
